A blacksmith doesn’t work with just one hammer, so I have partnered with Joe Augustyn to develop and deliver this musculoskeletal ultrasound content.  Our history is a prime example of what “Forged Experience” means.  It is not necessarily a one-way conduit with experience.  Every person has their own unique life experiences that we can all learn from.  As an instructor, each person has a way of learning which suites them best, so the experience of instructing one may help tailor the teaching style of the next.

I met Joe early on in his ultrasound career during his clinical rotations at Madigan.  We definitely got along, and remained in touch as he went on to work with the ultrasound program at Bellevue College.  Years later, after he had opened his own ultrasound business, and had become a leader in the MSK specialty, we reconnected.  This time it was my turn to glean some of Joe’s clinical knowledge in preparation for the MSK registry.
